I don’t have to ask you to imagine what it’s like to live through a world wide pandemic that no one is safe from. Because we’re all experiencing it. What is unimaginable, is having to deal with this and also struggle to feed your family. The long, long lines of cars filled with mothers, fathers and children, waiting for hours on end for a few bags of food, is unprecedented. 

This image haunts me. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Did you know that 40% of these people have never reached out for help before? They’re embarrassed, scared, desperate. 

When I heard a volunteer for Feeding America describe the look on a mother’s face, as her trunk was loaded with groceries, it broke my heart and also sparked an idea. On her face he saw relief, gratitude, happiness. I want to help spread that feeling to many more.
